It is very fun to do it and allows you to extend the construction time on the set.
The lights placements are perfect and the rendering is beautiful but the 3 batteries are not enough to support all these lights, so you have to plug on AC or on a powerbank.
(One of the cable was cut and it was replaced very quickly)

Excellent light kit to further enhance what is already gorgeous.
I consider myself an avid lego collector, and use many of my sets as household decorations. When I saw LEGO made the Rivendell set I knew I had to enhance it with lights.
While instructions clearly aren't meant for the faint at heart (as taking the set apart and drawing the cables takes a decent chunk of time and finesse), the end product is nothing but spectacular.
One of the cable heads fell off during assembly, and when notified they instantly sent me a new one free of charge. Excellent service, and I will return for other light sets.
