Great idea, almost there
I have actually purchased 3 or 4 ligting kits for various LEGO models. Keep in mind that these LEGO kits arr not inexpensive, as geniun LEGO is very high quality. The pieces fit very well and very deliberatly with no effective room for movement. That's the point. The lightailing products, although a good idea, compromise the LEGO model significantly. I feel they need to produce special parts, under LEGO license, to aid in routing wires without compromising the fit of the model. I also feel they should incorporate "ribbon" wiring that lays flat rather than a proper wire that separates the blocks. Hence, I have chosen not to use any of the lighting kits due to the visual impact on the model integrity. For the cost of the lightailing kits, and the expense of the model itself, I anticipated a more tailored product.
