Everyone loves the timeless animated characters of the Disney universe. Lego has collaborated with Disney to release collectible mini-figures depicting them in vivid colors and poses. Lego introduced the first Disney mini-figures in 2016, wherein they presented many of the all-time favorite characters from the Disney world like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Alice, Cheshire cat among others. These characters were offered to the public in “mystery packs” to add to the fun of collecting all eighteen of them.
Series 2 will hit store shelves worldwide on 1 May 2019. They are now available online, but I recommend buying a complete set, which you can often find on Amazon or your local specialized LEGO retailer. The Lego mini-figures were already popular among the children and adult collectors alike since the release of the world-famous toy company’s first such offering along with Lego Set 600 in the year 1978. The “smiling police officer and his car” was simple in design and action, yet it was the beginning of a revolution in the toy industry. The design of Lego mini-figures have evolved a lot since then, with the detachable parts of these toys available currently can potentially be combined in over 850 billion different ways! The addition of the much-beloved Disney characters along with the light for Lego Disney castle to the collection has only enhanced the iconic Lego action figure collection of the last five decades.
Some Notable Features of Lego Disney Mini-figures
The Lego Mini-figures Disney Series 2 was announced to the world in March 2019, with the mystery model packs available in the stores and online too. Following in the footsteps of the successful earlier Disney mini-figure series, Lego has released eighteen different collectible action figures along with light kits for Disney castle in its release.
The Action Figures: What to look for
The “mystery bags” contain mini-figures of the all-time favorite classic characters of Mickey and Minnie Mouse (of the Steamboat Willie design), Scrooge McDuck, Chip and Dale, Dewie, Huey and Louie along with the modern favorites like Elsa, Anna (from the Frozen movie), Jasmine and Zafar (Aladin), Frozone, Edna Mode (The Incredibles movie franchise). Hercules and Hades mini-figures are also a part of the collection with Jack Skellington and Sally (from “A Nightmare before Christmas”) rounding up the total.
The Mystery Unfolds
The packaging of Mini-figures Disney Series 2 is attractive and trendy. Entitled “mystery bags,” they are small pouches containing the figures and some accessories. As per the usual high standards of Lego, each of the figures are colored beautifully and vividly, staying true to their on-screen personas. The famous ‘blocky’ design of the mini-figures which is much-loved by the children and toy collectors all over the globe is also prominent in each of the products, along with detachable arms, legs, torsos, and heads, making them a favorite among the children.
Since 2010, when Lego decided to market its already successful mini-figures individually, the popularity and allure of the products have increased among its customers all over the world. Now, they are collectible as separate action figures and can be part of much different lego light kit apart from their own, thus adding to the variety. Children and collectors alike now have the freedom of creating settings according to their imagination, or they can always defer to Lego for providing appropriate environmental setting designs with the ever-popular Lego Brick sets.
The mystery bag Disney series is the perfect follow-up to its hugely successful previous mini-figure collectibles’ release. With a beautiful mix of old classics and modern favorite characters of the vast Disney universe along with light kit for Disney castle, Lightailing surely has offered its customers a collection to cherish for a lifetime.
