The Money has an official release date of December 25, 2022. That is a global date so it should be available around the world on this date. In the United States, the kit is going to cost $24.99 and in Europe you can expect to pay around €24.99. As far as I am concerned, this represents excellent value for money.
For that price, you get a kit consisting of 336 pieces. My first impressions of the set are excellent. I love the addition of the red envelopes. In China, anything red symbolizes prosperity, so for the New Year, this is a very important color. Orange kumquats or tangerines also brighten up this cheerful tree.
The tree is suitable for builders from the age of 9 years plus. It is not a very complicated kit to build. I would say it is the perfect kit for a cold afternoon when you want something to do as a family. When you are done, you end up with a colorful tree consisting of 20 colorful fruits, 14 envelopes, and 10 coins.
The height of the tree measures 16cm or 6 inches. The size is perfect as it is not going to take up a lot of space. I think it is worth pointing out that the LEGO Money Tree is part of the 2023 Lego Lunar New Year Selection. It is a fantastic collection I think that you should check it out.
Is This A Complicated Build?
No, I have to say that the LEGO Money Tree is not a completed build at all. If this is your first time building a LEGO Kit, it is a really great choice. If you have previously built LEGO kits but moved away from LEGO for a while, it is a great kit to get you back into LEGO.
I think this kit has a real mass appeal. In many ways, it does not look like a LEGO kit at all. When the Money Tree is finished, it looks more like a display item. It would not look out of place in any living room.
As with all LEGO kits, the item is well-packaged and comes with everything you need to complete the project. The instructions are clear and you should complete the kit quickly.
I fully understand that you may not want to rush it. But personally, I think it is one of these kits you want to spend more time looking at than building. Some LEGO kits are just meant for display - this is certainly one of them.
Is the LEGO Money Tree Kit Value for Money?
At the indicated retail price, I think that this kit offers fantastic value for money. If you are looking for something affordable to keep you busy, I think the kit represents fantastic value for money.
What makes it even for exciting, and a great build is that the Money Tree is part of a series of kits. They are all being launched in the latter part of 2022. Just be aware, that some of them may not turn up until the early part of 2023.
What Can you Expect From LEGO in the Future?
In the future, I am pretty sure that we are going to see more "culturally" inspired kits. Hopefully, the Money Tree and the other new building sets which make up the 2023 Lunar New Year sets are going to attract new fans and followers to LEGO. It is such a progressive company that always listens to its customers.
The 2023 Lunar New Year is certainly the start of something new. I have not felt inspired by a block-building kit for a long time, but this innovate.
What About the Quality of the Kit?
Everything included in the kit is of excellent quality. I think that all fans and keen Lego builders know that Lego offers a quality product. The Lego Money Tree Kit does not disappoint.
The colors of the bricks are excellent. I also think that the fruits, be they kumquats or tangerines, have been designed very well. The money envelopes are of high quality. When you add the 10 Lucky Coins and stand back to look at the completed project, you realize they finish it very nicely.
Is there anything missing? I do think it would be nice to have a few LED lights to go with the kit. But for the price of $24.99, I would not expect LEGO to provide them.

Displaying the Lego Money Tree
The Money Tree looks great when displayed on its own. However, if you would like to add some details, you can easily do so. Perhaps you could pop into a local shop and pick up a few Chinese Guardian Lions.
Needless to say, this kit is perfect for display with the other LEGO kits which make up the 2023 Lunar New Year Collection.
